GetDirection ("we", "us") is built by TECH BROS, serving passengers across Nigeria. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Your email address (for your account), a username, an optional profile photo, the routes and fare estimates you submit, your confirms/flags/reports on routes, photos you upload for landmark identification, places you submit that aren't found in map search, and any voice input you use with the AI assistant (processed only to convert speech to text — not stored by us).
When you tap the "From" field on the search or drop-a-route screens, your browser may ask permission to share your device's location. If you allow it, we use it once to suggest your current location — it's never auto-filled without your confirmation, never stored on our servers, and never tracked in the background.
Your username and dropped-route count are visible to others on the leaderboard. Routes, reports, and confirms you submit are linked to your username so other users can see who dropped a route.
A small team reviews flagged routes, reports, and bug submissions to keep the app accurate and safe. This access is limited to designated team accounts and used only to resolve reported issues.
To run your account, show your dropped routes to other passengers, verify route and place accuracy through community confirms, send you in-app notifications, and improve the app based on bug reports.
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Resend for account emails, Google's Gemini AI for the assistant and photo identification, and OpenStreetMap/Photon for place search and maps.
You can edit or delete any route you've submitted, and delete your account entirely (including your data) at any time from Settings.
